Hey! I just finished re-reading this book, The Sound and the Fury, that I read when I was in high school. It's a good book, but it's a really depressing story about a family that falls completely apart. It takes place in Mississippi in the early 1900s. Since it has an uncommon narrator, it's hard to follow. After I finished the book, I went back and read it again.
I'm looking forward to reading Of Mice and Men with you all starting Monday! ms. hett
I finished reading the book "The trouble with Liberty". It is a really good book, which talks about some teenagers. The plot is about a girl Liberty which is a very spoiled girl and plays with all of her friends. she makes up a story about her teacher. That he molested her in the school. Unfortunately no one believes her and the teacher gets a bad reputation. Its really about teenagers, about what they come up to, to draw peoples attention.

Heyaaa!!! I've been reading this book called "Top Ten Uses for an unworn Prom Dress" by Tina Ferraro and I really like it. I feel like to read it without stopping. This story is basically about a teenage girl who had crush on a guy. This guy asked her to go on a Prom night with him, but when the day came, he dumped her saying his girlfriend is back. Now this girl is determined to put on her Prom dress and making that guy feeling jealous and regret. Lets see what's going to happen next...

Home Invasion
Hi Ms. Hett I've finished an individual book named home invasion. I really liked the book. I liked the way when the main character observed the home invaders and tried to get rid of the problem. Besides, i didn't like when the home invader tied the main character's neighbor with his girl friend. As a reader, I have few questions that may help us to debate about many conflicts about the story. My first question is, why did the main character went to his girl friend's house and why did he go to the basketball practice if he doesn't like it? Though its a story it has some relations to my life. In my previous country we victimized by few home invaders. The most important part was when the main character went to his new neighbor's house to observe everything, however as a human being I didn't agree with the main character's decision.we live in a society where everybody has personality and the right to live alone. Nevertheless, his decision was totally awkward. I think the author gave me a clue that will help me to predict about what will happen next. In the last paragraph he wrote about the main character and his neighbor's daughter. So, the book gave me a lot of pleasure and confidence to do my all works in the future.

Hey!I've been reading the book, Twilight by Stephanie Mayer.I've found that this story is not only full of romantic details but also keeps a reader teanse. Basically it shows us the typical story of a teen love, but unfortunately Bella, the main character needs to find out the shocking secret about Edward.

So the book is about a boy moves into new town and he trying to be cool.So all the events happen in the bus. he has to be mean to be part of cool group. if you want to find out what happens in the end you have to read my book. The Shade
I've finished another individual book named "The Shade" by K.L. Denman. It was a very nice book with some sort of thrilling affects. Especially I liked when the main character Safira helped her sister to get rid of from her dipressing time. Besides, I didn't like when Safira and her best friend Trinity used oija ( one kind of board to determind a ghosts position) to find the ghost who disturbed Safira. It wasn't a good decision by Trinity. Safira was a girl who always scare a lot, so it was a bad decision. As a regular reader I've few question that may help us to understand few things. My first question is, why did Trinity have a lot of curicity about Safira's family? and If Mya loved Lino at first, why did'nt she broke up with him before the marriage time? Though it a very good story, I do have few relationship with my life. One day in the mid-night I woke up from sleep and thought that I saw a ghost. Nevertheless, I did'nt. That was my imagination. In the story, when Safira's older sister Mya spent a lot of money before her marriage ceremony, it was a wrong decesion by her;because shespent a lot of money for her marriage. I think the author gave me a clue that will help me to predict about what will happen next. In the last part of the story, the auther wrote that, when Safira feel bad she would tell it to her sister. I think the story help me to understand people's feelings and so on.

Hi, Ms. Hett. I've just finished reading a nice orca book named I.D. It was a nice book with a lot of climax. I liked specially when Christopher got money in his bad time. Besides, I liked when he spent the money in his own problem. As a reader I didn't like when he went to the airport to get the luggage and get caught by the cops and this situation made me angry, sad. My main question is, why did Christopher try to get the luggage if he was feeling comfortable with the money and the ATM card? I didn't agree with few situations, when the main character got the wallet in the road and didn't give back to the owner after three days. I am predicting that, Christopher will get out from the jail and get his girl.

Hello!!! you know what i have read," Dancing with an Alien" by Mary Loque. This book is really amazing because it has so many wonderful scenes. The main character has an interesting background. Branko is an alien. He came to earth because he has a mission, he needs to meet a female and bring it back to his planet because it is the only way he can save their planet. Tonia is a teenager and a good swimmer. They met at the beach when Tonia save Branko because he didn't know hoe to swim. Branko thought that she was the one he needs. So, he kept coming back to the beach to see Tonia until they saw each other again. You better read this if you want to know what happen next. This book is really good. I hope you'll read this has also important lesson that you'll learn.
I read a book named "Crossbow". It was awesome. I really recommend this book. It'd be fascinating to read this book. It's about a boy who'd made a cabin in a forest to be a hermit. One day, he met a guy who was occupied in his cabin. He realized that the man was nice and he taught the boy how to use a crossbow. It's become interesting since that. I hope you guys enjoy this book like me.
hellooooo!!!! i read the book Sudden Impact. It was really a nice book. Once when you start reading it you won't be able to stop reading. The story had suspense. It showed about how friends care for each other, and how they are here for you everytime! The best part of the book was friend saves life of another friend. I recommend everyone who read this blog to the my book!
hii again! I also read a book called Exposure! The story was dry, but you get to know the way girls think. It explained about mean girls, nice girls, and neutral ones. It was all about how they interact with each other. The story was little embarassing but it was all good though! If anybody wants to know more I suggest them to read the bok.
I just finished my book "Until we meet again" in my math class :p I liked the book and the writer. I've read Anne Schraff's book before, and that book is connected with the book that I just read today. This book is about Darcy, who is in high school. She broke up with her bf, Hakeem, and got a little confused and sad. Then she met a new guy, Brian, who is much older than Darcy. Brian is a player, and he was just playing with her. But Darcy didn't realize that. One day, Darcy lied her parents and went to meet Brian. But he tried to do violate Darcy, and Darcy's dad saved her. Darcy felt guilt and sorry for her family. Like Darcy, I also realized what is timeless and unchanging. That was love and loyalty of family and sincere friends, not a boy who tries to attract pretty girls with outward. This book is FOR US. I think we should know that because we are in high school like Darcy. :]

I just finished the book Prisoners of Tehran by Marina Nemat. This book is about a young girl Marina, who used to live in Iran. She was also being kept in prison as all the other people in Iran. She was Christian. But, she was lucky that a guard, Ali, fell in love with her. Ali was Muslim and as she was turning a Muslim, Ali was assassinated.........
This book was obviously on Marina's character. This is one of the most interesting books I have read.

I just finished reading the book "Learnig To Fly" . It was a good book. It was about a Chinese family that moved to United States from China. The main caracter is Jason and has a little brother Josh. Jason bought some drugs from "The Man" and the police cought him. The book then ends and i don't even know if he is going to jail or not.

The book i was reding is called"Cirque Du Freak". This book was about two best friends whose names were Darren Shan and Steve Furlman.One day,Darren and Steve decided to go to an unusual cirque. One of the people who was showing other people his talent was a vampire whose name was Mr.Crepsley with his big spider. Darren loved spiders so he decided to steal the spider from a VAMPIRE. When Darren stole the spider, the spider bit Steve and he was dying. Mr. Crepsley promised that if Darren would be his assistant, he would do something to make Steve stay alive.So Darren had to be his assistand. The worst thing wa sthat Darren had to pretend like he was dead, and he had to say good bye to everyone and everything he had, and go with Mr.Crepsley. Darren and Mr.Crepsley had to travel and go to the Vmpire Mountain to start searching for their major enemy called the Vampaneze.
Do you think they will be able to to that?
Hi! I read the book "Who Owns Kelly Paddik?" it's about a girl that went to a juvenile home because she was dangerous to herself and to others. I really liked this book because is a book that has a lot of clues that could be in reality, too. Is shows how bad the life is in these type of houses and how she faced all the problems in there.

i just finished my other book "Sudden Impact". At the beggining it wasn't that exciting but later in the middle of the story the climax rises. This guy, Kurt is sick and needs his best friend beside him. In this story friendship is involved and parents relationship. Doctors are trying to find a liver for him with the same blood type. His friend, tina, has the same blood type. BUT...!

The second book of Cirque Du Freak is called " The Vampire's Assistant". Mr. Crepsley and Darren had to drink blood somehow to be alive, but Darren didn't want to. He kept complaining about losing his family and things but the main thing he had to face was searching for the Vampaneze. In a dark and cold night, when Darren was going to the hotel they owned, he faced the angry vampaneze whose namer was Marlough and the vampaneze tried to kill him. But Darren wasn't helpless. When Mr. Crepsley realized that he was in troulble he fought with the vampaneze and killed him.
But it wasn't the end of the story. Other vampanezes knew about Marlough and they were just waiting for a good situation to kill all the vampire Especially Darrenb and Mr. Crepsley.
Hey Guys !! I Read the book which is called "Watch me" by Norah is a about a girl whose parents were divorced. She leaves with her mother but still she does not want to live with her. She does not like her step father and that is why she always have argue with her mother. There are lots more stories in this book about her friends, family, pal and etc. This book is pretty Interesting and its not that tough for the ESL students. They can manage to read this book because the vocabulary is not hard, Students are able to get the paragraph, what is going on. So I consider Mrs.Hettinger's ESL students to read this book.You can probably get this book in IRC (Information Resource Centre).

Hey! Ms. Hett, I finished reading this book "Owl in Love". This book is really interesting and fun. The main charater of this book is Owl. She become a human during day, and she become an owl during night. Her parents are withes. And she has a crush with her biology teacher, who is 40 years of age. And just read the book to find out what will happen to her.
I like this book because she's doing everything for her crush just to see him, and i think it's kind of cute and funny. I recommend this book for you to read. Hope you'll going to like it and have fun.^^
In the Cirque Du Freak series, the character i LOVE is Mr.Crepsley. You guys might think i'm crazy to be in love with a vampire, but the way he spoke and acted was just awesome. I didn't like him that much in the beginning, because i believed that Darren lost his life just because of Mr.Crespley. But when i saw that Mr. Crepsley was trying his best to make Darren happy, i changed my mind. Even Darren realized that Mr.Crepsley was like an angel. I love when Mr. Crepsley was facing the bloody vampaneze. That showed how strong and brave he was. He was not just a vampire who used to drink blood. He had a good heart even more than some people who think that they're the best. The best scene which included Mr.Crepsley's bravary was when he saved Darren's life when Darren was falling down the Vampire Mountain. I will never forget that part. The other part which is sad but romantic was when a vampaneze killed Mr.Crepsley's partner whose name was Arra. Mr.Crepsley cried a lot that time and i also cried too much.
You guys really have to read this story and You'll see what i just said.

I finish reading the book called "Sold" by Patricia Mccormick. It's nice book, but it's depressing and a sad story of a girl in the mountains of Nepal. in this novel, i liked how she is caring to her family. this sittuation makes me sad because she is going with a stanger person. "Why is she taking any action?" This question is about the things that i don't understand. The unfamiliar word that i think might mean is skillet. My parents were aslo stirct with me too. when iu was reasding this is the events that comes on my mind. i don't agree with her parents for their decision to their daughter.. she could have runb away in her situation. i think she need to follow her parents. It makes me clue that her parents would send her with a lady that would make her a slave.
I hope you would like this book and find interesting.

the book that i read, "A New Kid in Class" is really good book, but it's also so fake. The characters were cool, but the new kid was so mean. He did many bad things in the town and around the school. He was smart aznd good in the classes. So, teachers didn't blame him. They blamed the troublemaker kid, even if he had nothing to do with it, and that really make me so angry =[ All the words were almost easy to understand, that's why i loved the book. Although the book was good, I didn't really like the aliens being in our earth. That wasn't so really. I think after Sarah found out hte truth, and dated the "troublemaker" everything will be good and fine.
Hey Ms. Hettinger! I just finished reading the book "Down". It's a good book about teens. The main character's name is Jason and he was send to jail camp for nine months. When he came back his mother and sister didn't talk to him. Also he lost his girlfriend. His girlfried was Asia. Asia had another boyfriend and his name was Marcus. One day Marcus and his friends were fighting with James's friends on the street. While they were fighting Marcus took something shiny from his pocket, but James thought it was knife so he yelled, "KNIFE!" and when he screamed, a some cops came and shot Marcus. So Marcus died and Asia came to James and told him that he screamed that he had knife, because he wanted Marcus to die. So James and Asia didn't talk to each other.

Hey!I just finished rading my book,Lke Father Like Son.It's very interesting book.It's about Ric who was lookinng for person who killed Tony Robles.Tony's ghost is still haunting the place where he died.Ric heard the story that says that Tony's father killed him so he is trying prove it. Also, Ric has problems with his friends and his girlfriend.There is so more things hapened and if you intresting what happened and how it fineshed just read the book.
I finished the book that I'm reading it's called 'The Child Called It". I would recommend this book to all students. This book is absolutely a good book and also a nonfiction book. I like about this book is that its a boy name Dave facing his fear with in that he is very courages.The situation that makes me angry is that his abusive mother,she threatend to try to kill him and also she won't let him eat anything unless he's being a good boy or do his chores. Dave is not exaclty a bad boy he is very kind and gentle. The thung that can't understand is that why is she so abusive to him Dave didn't do anything wrong. She is only abusive to Dave not her three sons.In the end of the book Dave got rescued DCFC. My prediction is that Dave will get a good home.
Finaly i just finish reading the book "Bull's Eye" and it's really good. I like when Emily run away to her aunt's house. The thing that make me anger is when i finds out that Emily's real mother is her aunt that died when she was 14 years old. But I don't understand do Donna(Emily's real mother) didn't tell to his boyfriend that they had a baby. When I'm reading this book It reminds me when I was a child. I don't agree about her aunt Sandra, which the one who grow her up and pretended that she was her mother. I think Emely will forgive her aunt Sandra for hiding the truth.

This book is simply awesome.It's about a girl named Nicollette...as I told you earlier about the story, this girl is finally happy, and now she's in love with her best friend's brother named Jared!!!This guy (Jared)finally proposed her saying he has liked her for a long time. So this time she left her ex-boyfriend, even though he was coming after her, and finally she has the chance to go on a prom night wearing her "unworn prom dress".I loved reading this book the whole time because it has a happy ending, and i would recommend all of you guys to read this book. It's all time fun!!!
I red the book called "Huricane Power." by Sigmund Brouwer. I'm done reading the half page of the book. It's a good book. It's all about a kid from Canada who moved to Miami, Florida. He got in trouble when he bought a gift for his younger brother. That was in the front page. He became a runner in his school. But his team mates don't like him because his too fast. This was in the middle page. I'll finish this book soon. :P
Hey Mrs HOT :) this is sarkie. I read my book( THe Dark Secret) It was nice, but i dislike the story a little bet, because they didn't show everything in the book, they didn't explain every single thing. it made me angry because it was about a guy who his girlsfriend died, and the guy went away, and also his parents doesn't know anything about him. I didn't know why the girl died, they didn't explain much about her. I didn't know some words. a lot of them were hard. I didn't have any similar thing in my life about this story. This story is not the same as my life is. i didn't agree about buring the secret of the girl that died because she died and we didn't know why. they wrote a lot about the daily things that happenned in a day so they didn't explain a lot about the secret they mustly talked about the daily day. In this story, they will have a good life after(i guess)and live their life like everybody else.

The book that I read is Bio-pirate. The book is about two boys which are solving a problem. They need to find out who did the expiriment against cancer and where is the medicine. Because someone stole it.They try to be like detectives.If you want to know what heppens next read the book.
hi ms. hettinger this is glady mae yer favorite one (kidding:). this site is so cool. :) this is really a good site for the people who loves reading books( but i'm not one of them though[:) anyways i read this book called the "Boy In The Stripped Pajamas" by John Boyne . this is about Young Bruno lives a wealthy lifestyle in Pre-war Germany along with his mother, elder sister, and army Commandant father. The family re-locate to the countryside where his father is assigned to commandeer a prison camp. A few days later, Bruno befriends another youth, strangely dressed in striped pajamas, named Shmuel who lives behind an electrified fence. Bruno found out that he is not permitted to be bestfriend his new friend as he is a Jew, and that the neighboring yard is actually a prison camp for Jews awaiting extermination.
.. i hope people will like this book this is really a good book and for extra information it has a movie too so if you are really not a loving book person you can just watch the movie of this book.hope you'll have fun reading or watching it,:)

The books name is Death Wind. This book is ok. if i would rate this book its 5 out of 10. This book got lost though but i already paid it. hehe
The main character of this story is Allie. Allie always hear her parents fight all the time like arguing. Allie is doing bad in school and she thinks that she is pregnant. Allie decided to go way with her parents. So she decided to hook up wih Raz a professional skatboarder. Slash is an opponent of Razz. Slash does bad things to Allie putting her in danger. So allie decided to go home. while they go home a huge tornado came to them. Will they survive the tornado? will Allie come back to her parents?

Hii folks! I finished reading Middle Row by Sylvia Olsen. It was a good book. It was really an exiciting story. I like how the friends help each other and how concerned they are for each other. I couldn't even imagine how nice friends are. Now I'm looking forward to make some new good friends!
