My last IRP book was good and each one i pick they just keep getting better! Donorboy is a very graphic novel with the swearing and such but it shows you how a girl would react to meeting her dad just now 14 years later in my case id be pretty wierded out too. also, this book is very amusing and i like how Rosalind kepps switching back to her life as an individual and to her meetings with her Counsler its very interesting i shall say. I really do like this book and i cant wait to find out what happens next!

i agree with danny. it would also be wierd to meet my father at an older age other than childhood. i like rosalids character. she is very outspoken with her thoughts. i want to know how exactly her mothers died though. so ill need too keep on reading about how everything happened. and i really like how Sean is at least trying to communicate with her and its better than not trying at all.

rosalind is sad all the time. a lot of the time she says that if she would have gone with her parents then she would be dead too. so i think that she blames the death of her parents on herself..
i know that being in high school you should do really good achedemicly, but i dont think that her councelor and principle dont understand what shes going through. obviously its going to take her a while to let everything pass.

Sean tells Rosalind about when he was in college and lived with his father who was a bartender and a druggy and a dealer and also how he met Rosalinds parents. when he was in college he met Sandy, one of Rosalinds moms and they worked together. at the end there was a big party with everyone that worked there. thats where Sean met Eva, Sandys partner. anyways, later in his email with Rosalind (since thats the only way that they actually communicate) he tells her that they all became really good friends, and eventually both Sandy and Eva sat down with Sean and asked him permisson if he would be the missing part of the reproduction since they wanted to have a child. so he donated to them and thats the way Sean is connected to Rosalind.

rosalind got into a fight with a boy on the hockey team. she broke his nose and kicked him while he was down on the ground. their teacher had to stop the fight and rosalind was facing an expulsion hearing because she was suppodly a threat to the other students and shod foot is illegal in the state that they live in. the reason why rosalin did that was because the boy was making fun of her parents when he heard it on tv.. and he also called her parents dikes. when she heard that she snapped on him. before all of that happened rosalind was acting out, she was getting drunk because it made her feel good and it makes her not sad. i really like this book so far too

I do agree with delia she does blame herself for her parents death which isnt right. I think thats one of the reasons she is so angry and so depressed especially changing her whole life style so fast i wouldnt blame her if she was angry id be angry too. Also like Delia i wonder how her parents died il guess il find out but living with her dad just now must be a drag.

Reading far enough in the book i think even though Rosalind hates her life and is really sad i think Rosalind is starting to like her dad in a way for example shes starting to open up more like a book with every few chapters each page starts turning and before you know it shes actually gonna love her dad but thats me. She also met new people like Sean who doesnt have the best life either spo that makes her feel so much better about her self and she thinks hey im not the only one who has a shitty life. I really love Rosalinds character because shes really a nice girl shes just missunderstood.

My thoughts were wrong Rosalinds life isnt getting better. She recently got in a fight like delia said. She got into that fight not because of her anger problems but because a guy in her school made fun of her parents calling them dikes and other mean things and that made Rosalind very pissed off so she broke his knows and when he was down she kept kickng him until people stopped her. In my opinion im glad she beat him up because what he said wasnt right and i would do the same if someone was talking about the people i love and miss so i give Rosalind a thumbs up! This book is really amazing though...

finally after finishing the book over all i think it was pretty decent. its not one of my favorites. when Sean went to New York to look for rosalind and kate but mainly rosalind he had thought to him self, 'sandy and eva i need your help to find them.' and right when he turns the corner he saw the museum of tv and technology or something like that and when he went in there he saww that they were showing the single dads club which is a show that eva, rosalinds mom used to act in before she passed. and he found the both of them and they both cried together. and ros told sean that she was sorry about making him so worried and leaving on christmas day and causing so much trouble. sean told her that it was okay and that he was happy to have found the both of them. and i think that this is going to be the start of a great father/daughter relationship between them.

After finishing the book it was a decent book i wouldnt say its one of my favorites it dragged in some parts but it was a good book id reccomend it to my friends and family. I really liked how Rosalinds relationship grew insanly with sean it made me happy that someone that was never there for Rosalind grew into one of her favorite people. I also like how Sean went to New york just to find Rosalind which i thought was very sweet of him and i like when they saw the show that Rosalinds mom was in they both had a beautiful moment and it was together. I overly liked the whole story line and i liked how Rosalind changed throughout the who book she was a Dynamic character for sure. Also this book made me find out that people in the world have it way more worse then me and it made me think how good my life is and how i should spend time with my parents because lets face it they arent going to be here forever. But all in all i liked this book and i would reccomend it, it was a great novel!
