well personally i think Jude is a book with a lot of intriguing content and detail. i like when he comes home with his mom and meets harry, because harry is a really nice guy. i do hate the fact that jude acts like something good has happened, and that is not the case. what happened to his father was tragedy and he should act like it. i hope later on in the book he eventually tells the police who murdered his father. i think that will unlock new mysteries and surprises.

This book is VERY good so far. The book starts off sad. What is shocking is that his father is killed and yet he does not really act surprised. He acts as if nothing happened. How could he not feel pain, least, express it? I think more people should this book. It's fun to read and I bet the movie would be ten times better. The plot is also amusing

The story so far is amusing. The plot is thrilling and is fun to read. It is shocking what happens at first. Some one important in his life dies and he does not know how to react. His reaction causes him impaired judgment. Jude is stuck. He does not know what to do. I wonder if he will tell the police officers who really committed the horrible crime. He watched it happen. What was worse was that it was someone he loved. I hope he does tell them. But so far this book has twists and turns and is very suspenseful.

I really liked the first hundred pages of this book. It has many twists as soon as you start reading. There is always some kind of problem or confirntaion that is happening. I thought it was very shocking when Jude's mother made the sudden decision and did not tell Jude. I can see how he would be upset about that. I can already tell that many other suprsing events are going to happen later in the story. I can relate to Jude because going into highschool was a totally new experience for me and some people are hard to get along with. Overall this book was very good and I look forward to finishing it.

i agree with johnie, this story is filled with extreme details of the hardships of this young man Jude. But on the other hand i disagree with johnie on the idea that jude shouldnt be happy because his father's tragedy, i mean heck he has a right to be sad, but because of his father's tragedy, jude was given a lucky new start with his mother, out of poverty. overall the book has been exiting and somewhat breathtaking at points. i'm exited to find out what happens next.

The beginning of this book was sad, how he had to watch the death of his father and the person who committed the crime kill him. I hope he tells the police officers who killed his father. Who knows if he tells them what new doors that will open. What is weird to me is how he shows no pain, emotion's, or sympathy after the death of his father. I don't really know yet but it just seems weird to me. So far the book is very interesting for me, and i don't like many books but this one has gotten my appeal.

well personally i think that this book is becoming more boring the farther you read into it. In the begining Jude was faced with tragedies and suspense and then he moves into his mothers house and he is given a whole new life,as i have said in my previouse comment. But now the book is slowing down and is begining to become a little boring. I am curious as to how long this book will take to get back on my level of expectations.

I was really impressed with the first part of the book, but the second part just plain shocked me. I couldn't belive how badly the situation with Nick went. I would have never thought any of that would happen. I also couldn't understand how Jude's own mother could turn on him so fast for her own benefit. I think Jude feels like his father because he got in trouble the same way as him and they were both turned on my the same woman. She also benefited from both of them. I think that is wrong of her to turn on family. This book so far has really suprised me so far I didn't think that it would be this good. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to listen to other people's problems because Jude has a lot of them.

I thought, because I liked the book in the beginning, the book wouldn’t of been much more interesting throughout the rest of the book. Turns out the book actually made me want to continue reading, like only few books have done to me. The book surprised me greatly when Jude’s mother had turned her back to him so quickly, he has enough problems as is. This book keeps your attention pondering the whole time, and not leave you waiting for an interesting part like most books do that I read, basically just to have more pages in. I recommend this book to people who want to be thinking the whole way through the book, and be amazed at what a life some people could have.

To a certain degree matt is right, it is not right what judes mother is doing to jude. Also personally I just think nick is a jerk. But on the other hand judes mother and nick have every right to act that way becuase of what his father had done to both of them. Like I have said before life is always going to be hard for judd

This book kept me in excitement from the first sentence to the last. Through the whole time I was reading this book, it made me cringe and stay at the end of my seat. It also made me a bit angry, that I couldn’t read faster and know what would happen next, at a faster rate. It’s just an amazing book in my opinion, and I think my opinion is a good one, because I’m a picky reader. The negative affects of revenge are written in detail oriented form throughout the book, and the messages of hope, forgiveness, and new beginnings are shown. I liked the ending of this book a lot. It kept me in suspense since the beginning of the last couple of chapters. I hope I can find more books like this, probably by looking under the author in more depth. I recommend this book to anyone who like action and mystery books that will keep you thinking throughout the rest of the book what might happen, this book is truly amazing in my opinion.

This book is really impressing. You don't know whats going to happen until the last page. It is full of suspense and adventure. I really admire Jude for always being so brave and smart. Even though he was not book smart he was smart about values and how to handle himself. I couldn't belive how Harry had turned out so bad. When he was introduced he was veiwed as a good character but as the book kept going he became even worse. Just when you thought he couldn't become any more rotten he did something else. I don't see what he saw in Anna too. She was a terrible mother and she never stood by Jude, and when she felt like evrything was gone then she wanted him. I think she just used him throught out the whole book so she could benefit. She is just over all a terrible mother. Davis also suprised me by what he did to Jude. I would have never guessed that he would turn on him too. This was a very well written easy to read book. I would recommend this book to anyone because it really grabs your attention.

well...i think that jude matured a bit in the second and third part. he got into all those fights and that is the reputation that he is going to be left with. unfortunetly for him getting a job after what he went through was tough and he was persistent about his goal. he never agve up and he wanted to make his mother proud. at the beginning i had a different perspective of anna but as the book went on i felt like she just didn't really bother to stay in touch with jude. i was almost outraged by her behavior towards jude when she went to visit him that i really thought the future of this book was in jeopardy (at leats my vision of the future of the book)

i'm glad about how the story came to an end. the climax was was simply extraordinary. jude handled himself like a true gentlemen and i think that is the most important thing. harry on the other hand didn't know how to deal with the situation he was presented and i think he made himself look even less innocent. but then again "LOVE IS BLIND". and that is why i think jude noticed that and let davis go on with the publishing of the story. in the end i'm happy that jude found what he was looking for and even a liitle more than that =)

This book is one of the best books i've read this year in english class. Jude has certainly matured a lot since the beginning. This book was wonderful. Jude handled what he had to do better than anyone else would do in that situation. Since the beginning of the book i wanted to keep on reading. This book is stunning, and suspenseful. The climax is amazing and brilliant. This book is a must read. This book is very emotional and it contains mature scenarios. I am going to read more books by this author...two words for them...absolutely wonderful
