The book 'The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian', by Sherman Alexie is a hysterical book based on a boy who faces difficult challenges in his life as he grows up. There was a time in the boy's life where he had too much water fluid in his brain and he had to get surgery and ever since then, he's been struggling mentally and physically, daily as his days go by. He was very bothersome because as a young kid he was bullied, stuttered a lot, didn't have many friends, grew up with parents who hadn't shown much love, and the only thing he really stuck too was his interest in drawing cartoons. The book has a good starting too it and I'm curious too find out what happens next.

The book 'What Happened to Cass McBride', by Gail Giles is about a popular girl named Cass. When she gets asked out by David, an unpopular boy, she turns him down politely, but writes a mean note to her friend about him. David accidently gets the note and commits suicide the next day. When Cass finds out he killed himself, she is shocked that he would do that just because of her note. David's brother Kyle wants Cass to suffer just like she made David suffer. So, he kidnaps her and buries her alive. So far, this book is interesting and I'm always wanting to know what is going to happen next.

Good comments so far, but I'm wondering about all the other students. I finished The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and now I'm reading The Book Thief. This book is narrated by the Grim Reaper, and it is about a little girl in Germany during World War II. Her brother has just died and now she has to live in a foster home. That's all I know so far.

I'm halfway through The Book Thief now and I can't put it down. This is a book I am walking around with as I teach, in hopes that I can sneak in a few pages every so often. At first I was a little put off by the narrator (death) and the style in which the story is told, but now I'm really enjoying how this book is written. The characters, like people in real life, have the ability to do and say surprising things, and though I've read a lot about World War II, I find that history seems new and urgent as I read about it in the pages of The Book Thief. It's a book that I want to finish, and a book that I don't want to finish because I'm enjoying it so much.

I'm reading The Last Shot by John Feinstein. For eighth graders Stevie Thomas and Susan Carol Anderson, March Madness has never been so mad. Both kids are winners of a fourteen-and-under writing contest sponsored by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). The grand prizes have won them trips to the Final Four in New Orleans. Not only will they get to watch the most thrilling college basketball games of the year, but they'll also be considered working journalists for the event. They have press credentials and are expected to report on the exciting stories of the Final Four. Little do they know, however, that they will end up at the center of the most shocking and important story of all.

The book I'm reading is, "What happened to Cass McBride?" by Gail Giles. This book is seperated in three sections in which the story is told. Cass is one of the sections, Ben, and Kyle. Cass was asked out by a guy named David Kirby, and she said she would get back to him, but right after she wrote a mean note about him and slipped it in a desk she knew her friend would sit in later. David saw her do this and he grabbed the note after, and killed himself. Next thing Cass knows shes buried in the ground in the box. Kyle is David's brother, and he did this because David hung himself on a tree with the note pinned to himself. Now Kytle wants to get her back. She is buried for about two days now, and Kyle rarely shows up, but when he does he demands respect from her when he is talked to. Cass is secretly thinking of a plan to bribe him to let her out. I think it's an intresting book so far.

I've just finished reading the book, 'The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian' and I thought it was a really good book and I enjoyed reading it. This book was basically about a boy named Junior who lived on a reservation with all of his tribal members and was the only nomadic kid to go to another school that was 30 miles away. Everyone felt that he had betrayed his tribe and ever since he left, many of his loved ones were dieing because of drinking and he swore that he would never drink in his life. Towards the end of the book, Junior and his best friend Rowdy, make up and become friends again after having rivalry because they played on different basketball teams. This book taught me an important lesson which was to continue to move on with life when you think your gonna be stuck somewhere and not have a clear future.

I am reading a book called Looking for Alaska by John Green. The book is about this kid nicknamed Pudge and he is tired of going to public school because he has no friends and he just doesn't like school. He moves away to Culver Creek in Alabama, which is a private boarding school. He makes a couple friends that he gets very close to. One of his really close friends, her name is Alaska, his room-mate Chip and Takumi. At this school he has his first alcoholic drink, his first smoke, his first kiss and his first girlfriend. Him and Alaska get very close friends but when they stay at school for thanksgiving break they plan a prank on the "rich kids" to get them back for plooding Alaska's room. (That's It So Far)

i thought that What Happened to Cass McBride was an interesting book and it kept me reading. After Kyle kidnaps her, she feels like she is going to die in the box he buried her in. Kyle doesn't kill her, but she wanted her to suffer. When investigators found her, she was put into the hospital and was trying to cope with her experience. She was having trouble talking to others about it, so she told her story to herself until she was ready to tell her friends and others. I would recommend this book to anyone how likes reading suspenseful books.

I finished The Book Thief. I have to say that it is one of the best books I've ever read. It takes a while to read, but it is well worth it. It taught me about what life was like for average Germans during World War Two. Most of the Germans in the book are decent people who are living through an indecent time. Some of them go along with evil and others do what they can to resist it. This would be a great book to read while studying World War Two.

I finished reading,"What happened to Cass McBride." and I thought that the book didnt have that good of an ending. I thought it was interesting on how Kyle tried killing his mother, because Cass had finally convinced him that it wasnt her fault that David killed himself, but that it was his mothers fault. Cass is rescued barely before dying by detectives Ben, and two others. I thought that this book was intresting.
