The book is a little confusing in the beggining, also it's a little slow. first of all i couldnt understand why she was cutting herself. But as i read on i saw that she was obsessed with this guy who dumped her. i think by dating a guy, i can tell that her parents think that she is responsible and can handle the pressure of having a boyfriend who is a junior and being a freashman.
i think Trixie is a little too depresed because Jason dumped her.i also think that her parents should pay more attention to her esspicially her mother. i mean her mother cant leave Trixie and Daniel and start liking a guy who is 10 years younger than her! i think her mom really needs to start paying attention to her family. she should help daniel with the housework and Trixie with her school stuff
this book is intresting and i hope it starts to get better.

i agree with Sana,as soon as i opened up the book in excitement to see how it was...it ended up being pretty slow and boring. It was a little confusing at first, i didnt know who was who, and if half the things the dad (Daniel) was talking about, and if he was having flashbacks or if it was present time. I hate how little things get to his daughter Trixie so easily, i mean cutting yourself for a guy is kind of crossing the limit, and shes so young. In the starting i felt SO bad for Trixi's dad Daniel he cares about her so much and hes so loving towards her and she despites that and ignores him. Overall this book isnt really my type i have to force myself to read it literily i just hope it gets better =)
I agree with sana and sabah the book was slow and kinda boring. I was confused and their were some things that i didnt get like i didnt know which character they were talkin about.Trixie is very obessed with her boyfriend jason but he dumped her and shes very sad.I think that trixies mom should pay attention and take care of her, because thats what a mother should do. I was shocked how trixie cut herself for a guy and she could of done something bad to herself. I hope the book gets better and more interesting and i hope trixie doesnt do anything bad anymore because of a guy.
i agree with the statement when its said that the book was a bit confusing and dragging in the beggining. it was hard to follow along with and you couldnt really understand wahat was going on. i alos didnt get why she was cutting herself, i understand that Trixie's parents dont pay as much attention to her as they should and she got her heart broken, but no one should resort to that kind of self injury. no one should completly depend on others either, they should keep distance between one another and i think that later in the book, this theory will apply. Trixie's mother really needs to step it up and become a better mother. thats what Trixie really needs at this point in the book, love and support. i hope this book gets more enjoyable and interesting, im sure it will.

The book in my opinion is alright so far. I bet it will get better and I'm hoping it will. The book is a little confusing at the beginning and I'm not really sure with what I'm trying to look for as I read, but the main points are pretty easy to read like how Trixie's depressed on how she got dumped and she doesn't get enough attention. Though at the beginning, the book started kind of out of no where and it felt like I started in the middle of the book, but whatever, it's all gooooooddd(: I'm looking forward to reading more.
In my opinion this book is realy confusing. So far the girl in the book broke up with her boyfriend so she is cutting herself and vomiting in the school bathroom. She starts to attend bad parties and basically gets raped. It was pretty hard to understand why she was doing all this in the first place but as you read further you understand it more. She treats her father pretty bad and her dad's pretty much just trying to help. She is like in depression and needs serious help. I think she should be a little more mature and find a better way to deal with her problems because what she's doing isn't helping her AT ALL! It gets me mad to know how immature people can be. I think she is capable of handling her problems in a better way without hurting herself. Also i COMPLETELY agree with sabah that she is too young to to be doing all that.

I think Trixies friend Zephyr is a bad influence on her. i mean after what happened at her house. i dont understand why would Trixie fall this low to get Jason back? i tthink if Zephyr was a true friend she wouldnt have let Trixie go through all this. instead of supporting Trixie after the rape. she is completly brainwashed by Moss Minton.
On the other hand Trixies dad is too shaken up. i think he has all the right to get mad at Laura. Daniel has been through a lot. After reading the flashbacks from his life, its pretty much like he's been a single dad. Laura did not participate a lot in Trixies upbringing.
i think its a good thing that Laura with broke up seth. i think it wasnt right for a teenagers mom to have an affair with a 23 year old man. i think now Laura needs to focus in how to make Trixie feel better and support her. instead of getting depressed herself.
so far the book is getting pretty interesting i like how Trixie's dad has a secret dark side and he dosent like to share it with his family.

In the beginning of the book it was a bit confusing. but when i started kinda getting towards the middle I started to understand it more. so far the book is okay for me.
entry #2
its kinda stupid on how laura is falling for a guy that is practically like a son figure. its just so eww. this connection is like Madonna's beau who is 22 yrs and Madonna herself is like 50 something.
this book is getting a lot better. i think Trixie's "friend" Zephyr is a very bad influence on Trixie. shes very selfish and Trixie should be hanging out with better people, people who would support her and take care of her in her rough patches. Trixie needs to learn that jason is not the right guy for her and she needs someone who will actually love and care for her. also, i think daniel hads been through a lot with laura having an affair with seth. he and trixie can both depend on each other when times like these accur, they can count on each other. it was good that laura and seth did not continue dating, i think she really needs to prove that she can be a better mother/wife or just leave trixie and david alone. she needs to get her priorities straight and stop being selfish and uncaring. this book has a lot of mature drama that keeps getting better and better. im sure there will be a surprise twist in this story that will leave everyone speechless. this book is great so far and i cant wait to keep reading.
So far in this book Trixie blames her boyfriend for raping her and she broke up with him and only went out with him for three weeks. She goes into depression and starts to vomit durring school and cut herself. Eventually she starts going to bad parties and gets raped. Then she falls in love with the guy who raped. Personally I think Trixie is pretty immature for behaving this way. She also needs to think about things before doing things. And if you ask me then i don't realy Zephyr. She'z a HORRIBLE friend and laura seems a little different to me. I think it's good that Laura and Seth arn't together anymore. (entry #2)
The book is getting much better and i hope it continues to get better. Before i wasnt really enjoying it, it was dragging at first. Now i like it better its good so far.I also think Trixies friend Zephyr is a bad influence for her.Shes a bad person, and i think she can influence trixie to do bad things and also what happened at her house.Instead of Zephyr influencing trixie she should help her out and support her like a good friend would. I agree with sana i think that trixies dad has been through alot through his life. And hes been like a single parent,a dad and a mom. while laura isnt a really good mom.I think she should support Trixie. Overall i am enjoying the book and its interesting too.I hope it gets better.

This book has gotten much interesting i must say. Slowly and slowly Trixie begans to unravel whats been happening in her past life and i start to get a much better understanding of her, and she starts to open up as you read more and more. I really agree with Hira I'm so glad Laura separated from Seth it was about time where she left everything, and is there 100% for her daughter now, because it was very necessary. I feel so sympathetic towards Daniel, hes been managing to keep everything in place and hes trying so hard, all single handedly i have to say thats very hard.
Its sad how everyone disbelief's Trixie at school and how she still managed to suck it up and survive at school. I hate how she still is talking to Zephyr, after all she went through Zephyr didnt even call once to check up on her. The first time she talked to her at school she didnt even bother to really ask about her condition shes all oh your wrong Jasons right, and shes not a true friend. I get so mad at the fact that Trixie doesnt see how shes surrounded by bad influence, at times she seems to stupidly ridiculous to me. The biggest thing that killed me was how through all that, she still is crawling back to Jason, i was SO dissapointed in her for doing that, i thought she finally opened her eyes, but guess not....

I was really shocked when Jason died, i think this was a major twist in the story. I completly agree with sabah and hira. Laura needs to start spending more time with Trixie now. Now that jason has committed suicide, Trixie will think its completly her fault that Jason committed suicide.
I think Daniel is a very strong and protective father. i think he can pull Trixie out of this mess pretty soon. As the book goes on, i think the flashbacks of Daniels life are a little slow and boring, but i was shocked when i learned that Daniel had killed his best friend. In the beginning of the book i was confused about why Daniel kept saying that his past was dark and mysterious and that he dosent want his family especially Trixie to know anything about him.
So far the book is getting interesting, i like the new characters like Bartholomew, and Jason's parents.
this book is very different, even though its slow in the beginning it's getting really good!!!!
This book is very disgusting to me so far. I think Trixie's father is not being mature. By torturing Jason he's not going to change what has already happened. I don't like this book all too much anymore. It seems really perverted to me. I think it's gross that somebody would do that to someone. For example Trixie's dad tied Jason and made him take his cloths off and cut him. That's just wrong. That part was hard for me to read because i thought it was pretty nasty. I don't read books like this very often because i can't handle them. I don't feel like reading this book further but i don't mind. Also, I can't believe that Daniel killed his OWN best friend. Now I understand a lot of the book. The fact that Jason killed himself also has a GREAT impact on Trixie. Trixie feels responsible for his death. (entry #3)

I completely agree with Hira the book so far has been very disgusting to read and very inappropriate. I understand why Daniel would want to kill Jason i mean after all he did rape Trixie, but tying him up and taking off all his clothes and cutting his private part? that's a little too intense, and very harsh. Also, when the book slowly uncovered how Daniel had killed his own best friend, the book was very shocking. Now i understand where he comes from and why he acts the way he does at times. I think that Laura can do so much more to help Trixie, and she should shes her mother. I think Trixie needs to really go to another school, i mean why face all those people again? im sure shes only going to see Jason which is pathetic.I feel bad now that Jason has commited suicide its on Trixie now, and even though its not Trixie's fault shes going to keep putting herself down and shes basically scarred for life. I feel like someone should be with Trixie 24/7 to show her she has people and shes not alone and she can get through this =)
this book is getting much better. we get a better look at trixie's life and its starting to make more sense. Laura did do the right thing and now maybe Trixie can get the attention she needs from her. Daniel is being a good father and doing the right thing all by himself and thats a nice thing for Trixie to look up to. Trixie should still lose Zephyr, shes not a true friend at all and doesnt even care about what Trixie's going through. the last things she really needs is drama with Jason.but of course, Trixie goes back to him and doesnt know whats good for her i hope Trixie finally gets over him and finds someone new that actually cares for her and loves her, thats what she really needs.
this book is getting pretty gorey, but very good. Daniel took it kind of far but Jason didnt deserve to die even after raping Trixie. Thats too much even if he is trying to keep Trixie safe. but when the part where Daniel killed his best friend was described, it kind of made more sense to me. Maybe laura can help out more, or maybe she should just completely stay out of their lives, she cant keep staying in the book and not do anything to change. now jason "suicide" is going to be on trixie and daniel who was trying to help is going to have to make trixie feel better about something he did. Trixie just needs to stay strong through all of this and learn how to deal with everything. i cant wait to see how this book ends, im very excited.

I am almost towards the end of my book and so far its really interesting. i think this book is more of a detective mystery book now. i really cant wait till the detective finds out who killed Jason. this book is disgusting at parts but so far its really good.
i think daniel is overreacting a bit. i think he is not being a helpful father at all.
i think laura's attitude towards Trixie is getting better.

This book is starting to become more understandable and detailed as I read more. I'm starting to find more interest in it and wanting to read more. I think Laura made the right decision on breaking up with Seth, because the age difference was so wrong and the maturity of the relationship didn't seem like it was enough to support each other. I also agree with everyone else on how Zephyr is a bad influence. She was selfish and didn't support Trixie as much as she should've if she was really a 'good friend.' I'm satisfied with the book so far and I'll be reading more soon.
the book is coming to an end and i must say it was a confusing, terrifying and eye opening novel. ive never seen such a tense relationship between a father and daughter. daniel tried so hard to be the best father he could be and in the end trixie finds out the truth about what he did to jason. the book was very hard to understand at times especially at the end, i couldnt really understand what was happening until i re read it a couple of times. trixie didnt take the news as bad as i thought she would, but she kind of understood daniels reasoning for what he did. i also couldnt understand the part where daniel and laura were talking about laura killing someone, it just made me misunderstand everything. but in the end most of the book was good and im sad to see it coming to an end.
The book really confused me in the end. I didn't really understand what happened. I feel really bad for Trixie when she found out what her dad did. I can only imagine what she must have felt at the moment. Trixie's going through a really hard time and on top of all that she considers herself at fault for Jason's death. I'm going to reread the ending until i understand it more. (entry #4)

i finished my book and i must say i agree with hira, it was very confusing in the end. i kind of didnt like the way the author ended the book. i think in the beggining the Daniel was a very supportive father, but as the book came to an end he got out of control he,was a little over protective and reacting to every small thing. on the other hand i think Laura was also loosing hold of trixie. trixie was starting to go back into her deppressed state. overall this book was ok.
I reread the last part of the book and I'm still a little confused. I think the book could have had a better ending. Personally I think the situations at Trixie's house were really bad. For example Trixie's dad got out of control further in the book and Trixie's mom didn't pay attention to what was happening in her house. In my opinion Trixi's dad tried the hardest to do the duties of a dad and Trixie's mom barely cared. I hold Trixie's mom and Zephyr some what responsible for everything that happened to Trixie. Zephyr is just a bad influence. (entry #5)

I'm at the part where the detectives are trying to discover who daniel's murderer is. It's pretty interesting with all the details and I finally understand why Trixie's father didn't like sharing his past with other people. I was so surprised on how he had killed someone. This book always seems to get my attention the second I lose it.

Sorry, the entry before is wrong. I got some names mixed up haha
Okay so I was at the part where the detectives were trying to find out who Jason's murderer was. The details were good and it catched my attention pretty quickly after losing it. I'm looking forward to find out who killed Jason. I knew people may have resented him, but not as much to kill him.

Trixie had been raped by her boyfriend Jason which was pretty unbelievable by most people. After some confessions which opened the book up more, we ended up finding Jason dead. Not only did he die, but he was killed by someone else. He might've not been the best boyfriend or person, but I definitely don't think he deserved to die. I finished the book and found that Jason had been killed by Trixie's father Daniel. Daniel was very protective over Trixie and that's understandable, but not to the lengths of killing someone. I agree on how Sana thinks about Daniel and how he tried supporting Trixie but went out of control. My opinion of the book wasn't great, but it still caught my attention and made me read more as I got more into the book. I don't think that this book is my kind of genre but it was a good try! (=
