This book is awesome way better then "Big Mouth & Ugly Girl" I readed in summer school. this book has lots of action like when percy fought the minotaur and Mrs. Dodds. when i read the book i can piture it in my mind like when percy was fighting the minotaur i can see percy jumping up and grabbing the horn and break off and stabbing the minotaur. The book reminds me of hercules with all those greek Gods and this manga book am reading called "Kurohime" its about this women name Kurohime who is the worlds most powerful witch gunslinger who is trying to kill the Gods but fails and the Gods took her abiltiy to love and they change her from a adult to a small little kid. Then she changes her selfish needs to a caring person after meeting zero a boy who loves kurohime at first sight. After he died while they fought the shimigami the death God kurohime is now looking for a way to revive him without being punish by the death angels just like percy trying to revive his mom from the dead. this book is adicting to me i want to read the other series before i didn't really care about but now i want to read more. I wish i could live were mysical creatures were real instead of reading about it then again i want to live in the nabari world were ninjas exist.

So far, the lightning thief, Is intense. The characters I have met so far in the book are all strong and courageous. The cleverly written modern twist the author gave to the mythological characters made the story more exciting for me to read. Percy, the main character, has endured many hardships even before he finds out that his father is Poseidon and that he has to go on a long and dangerous quest. For example, When he is kicked out of school for the millionth time. Annabeth is a character I feel bad for. She is a very strong person. But the fact that she has lived in camp half-blood since she was seven years old and that her mother, Athena, hasn’t sent Annabeth on a quest yet. In the book, it is important for a Half-blood to be offered a quest. I feel bad for percy. One reason is that Poseidon never claimed Percy until Poseidon needed him to bring the bolt back. But Percy has failed to tell anybody the real reason he wanted to go to the underworld to look for the bolt, He went to look for his dead mother and bring her back. I don’t blame him for doing this. His mother was unfairly taken from him. I also agree with Jessica P. I too wish there was a world with ninjas.
i wish i have the power of water wouldn't that be fun. but all i am is a lazy dog. anyway this is still awesome but sometime i get bored when they are not fighting or when they are not doing any action stuff. plus all those gods names its is hard for me to rememeber them and what they do. but it has a good plot and good characters. they have awesome stuff like shoes with wings, invisable hats, cups that give u blue diet coke or what ever u wish to drink ( really want one).
I feel like the book is getting better and better. I think that it is pretty cool that Percy is Poseidon’s son. The thing Percy can do under water is awesome. For example, being able to stay dry under water and not being able to be crushed because of the pressure. Annabeth and grover are good friends. I agree with Jessica P, the accessories that they use in the book are cool too. Percy can be a little naïve sometimes. Like when Annabeth, Grover and Percy fell right into to Medusas’ trap and almost got turned to stone. Grover should learn to be courageous. He kind of acts like a wimp. A big question I have is that, who has the master bolt? I don’t think Hades has it because when the monsters come to attack Percy, they are always looking for something other than Percy. Annabeth can get a little bossy sometimes. When Percy’s prophecy said that, he will fail to return what matters the most, I think it meant that he will fail to rescue his mother.

so far i love this book because of the modern twist and the cool gifts the gods gave to there children.i especily like percys gift from his father.his gift was a pen that turnes in to a sword which i think is realy cool!also i love how well it ties into ancent greek monsters and gods.so far its the best book i have ever read by far.
My thoughts on the lightning thief have still stayed the same. The book is great and it's easy to read. One question I have is that, how are they going to find the bolt in only 3 days? And also, how are they going to manage bringing Percy's mother back when no other god has managed to do so? I wish that Annabeth would be a little nicer to Percy. And the biggest question I have is: What is going to happen if they fail the quest?

I felt sad went Percy and the others meet the neglected lion, zebra, and some kind of antelope. I mean why would the driver give the zebra and antelope meat and the lion some turnips it doesn’t makes sense well it’s a good thing Percy correct it. On page 253 I was confuse on who was talking all I know there is Percy and these two others I don’t know. I did some research on some of the gods and its true Ares and Aphrodite did loved each other but was caught in a net by Hephaestus Aphrodite’s husband then show them to the other gods to humiliate them. Except in the book Hephaestus did not caught them yet he caught Percy and Annabeth kind of caught them. I heard they are making the Lighting Thief movie I might watch but it might not be as good as the book.
I believe in the 13 celestial gods not the Greek gods the animal gods Amaterasu- sun goddess / wolf/dog, Tachigami- sword/ weapon god/mouse, Itegami- snow god/ox, Gekigami-thunder/lighting god/tiger, yumigami- moon goddess/rabbit, Yomigami- rejuvenation god /dragon, Nuregami- water goddess/snake, Kazegami- wind goddess/horse, Kasugami- time goddess/sheep/ram, Hanagami-flora gods(there is 3 gods)/monkeys, Moegami-fire god/rooster, Bakugami- bomb god/pig, Kabegami- wall goddess/cat. That’s just me who believes in them. The book is getting more interesting the farther I go like Percy talking or listening to horses/zebra, Percy and the others in Las Vegas, go in a hotel that has all the games you can imagine isn’t it awesome or what. Unfortunately It was a trap you check in forever and don’t age there was some kids from the 1977 0-o.Percy has one more day left to find his mom and the master bolt. What a great idea going into the lands of dead were dead people are plus the lord of the dead. I want to ride a Mako shark like Percy but I can’t swim far.
The lightning thief is getting more suspenseful and serious. When the make it to Crustys Water Bed Palace, they should have known something was up with Crusty. Percy noticed that he looked kind of like a reptile, so he should have just left. I felt scared for Annabeth, Grover, and Percy when they got trapped by Crusty. Crusty was a little naïve. I think this because he actually did what Percy tricked him into doing. It was kind of obvious that Percy was up to something. I also was afraid for them when they entered Hades’s territory. One question I have is that, Aren’t humans able to see the passage to the underworld since it is a little bit obvious?

entry 5: すべての権利を私はこの本で行わよ！All right am done with the book! The ending was great but I am not going to talk about. The rest was great with the dead people in the lobby, the elevator turning to a boat was kind a cool. The best part I think was when Percy and the others met Cerberus the three headed dog. It apparently likes playing with a ball instead of a stick and it acts more dog/ puppy then a scary monster. Cerberus reminds me of fluffy from Harry Potter and Cerberus from Hercules. I can’t wait until the movie comes out.

entry 3 Im about half way thought the book and i still love it .this book makes me whant to read more and more.i cant wait to see how th next few chapters end.and if perecy Succeeds in his mission to find his mom.
entry 4 The book is getting more serious and im still trying to put some of the clues together to figure out what is going to happen next.i still like this book because it has some mystiery in it and i like mystery.
entry 5 i reached the end and i was itching to read the next book and find out what happens after the ending of this book.im so happy that there are many more sequels to this book.i can't wait!
