First Blog:
This book is awsome so far it's interesting to see how Deanna gets along with her family and her so-called "ex" Tommy. Her father cant look her in the eye after the "situation" and her mother is just too peppy like she wants every one to get along which in reality will never happen...Her best friends Jason and Lee are dating and Deanna often wonders what life would she have if Jason had choosen her over Lee. i connect on some level with Deanna because of how she feels when her neice April looks and acts around her..I feel the same around my youngest neice. Im looking forward to reading and blogging more about this book!

Story of a Girl is an amazing book. I promise all you ladies out there will love it! I personally am not a reader, but I finished this book in 3 days! And Sara Zarr, the Author, did an amazing job writing it, grasping the reader’s attention the entire time.
I’ll give you a real brief summary about it… It’s about a girl named Deanna Lambert who at the age of 13 was caught having sex in the back of Tommy's (a senior, and her brother’s best friend) Buick. 2 years later, her father still can’t look her in the eye, and in a little town like hers with only one major high school she finds it impossible to redeem herself, often times accepting being called a “slut.” Then summer comes around and Deanna gets a job at a pizza place, Picasso’s, where she meets Tommy again, who also works there. She tries her best to stay close to her older brother, Darren, and dreams to move out with him and his girlfriend and her niece, but it’s hard. One night Tommy gives Deanna a ride back home, sitting in his Buick she remembers all the old times. Then suddenly Tommy stops the car, Deanna notices, he can either turn right and drop her off or turn left and go to the old parking lot… Read Story of a Girl to find out!
